Report Claims Gareth Bale Wants Real Madrid to Sign Spurs Star Instead of Eden Hazard

Gareth Bale has proposed to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez that the club sign Spurs midfielder Dele Alli instead of Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, according to Diario Gol.

Perez is reportedly looking to rejuvenate areas of the squad, with some players now entering their 30s, and could look to spend big on youth this summer once their transfer ban comes to an end.

According to the report, Bale has suggested that Madrid look to bring in Spurs midfielder Alli, just 20-years-old and one of Europe’s most revered youngsters.
Los Blancos have recently been heavily linked with a big money move for Chelsea talisman Hazard, though that would mean disrupting the current front three of Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Manager Zinedine Zidane is a known admirer of Hazard, but Bale has allegedly expressed his belief that Alli, who has scored 17 goals and provided eight assists for Spurs this season, would be the better option.

It appears that Perez and Zidane are willing to take into consideration the views of their key players, with Ronaldo also rumoured to be having his say on the club’s search for a new striker.

Madrid have reportedly drawn up a not-so-shortlist of nine forwards, of which Kylian Mbappe and Andre Silva, recommended by Ronaldo, are considered the top targets.
