Man City Superstar Insists He’s ‘Not Interested’ in Sensational Switch to Arch Rivals

Sergio Aguero has experienced a difficult season under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. The striker has found himself dropped for long periods and were it not for Gabriel Jesus’ injury, Aguero may have found game time even harder to come by.

Rumours have persisted with Aguero leaving this summer, with clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have been rumoured to be interested in the striker. More recently, arch rivals Manchester United have been linked with a sensational swoop for the Argentine.
However, according to Goal via Yahoo Sports, Aguero is ‘not interested’ in swapping blue for red in Manchester.

Nonetheless, it is understood that Aguero could still leave the Etihad, with Alexis Sanchez being lined up as a replacement. Pep Guardiola is thought to be determined to shake up his squad this summer after a disappointing first campaign in England.

Sources close to the player are understood to have ‘laughed off’ any suggestion that Aguero could play for United, despite Mourinho’s willingness to match his £12m-a-year salary.
The 28-year-old has scored 18 times in the Premier League this season, despite starting only 23 times. As a result, the potent forward will not be short of admirers should he choose to move on, and a switch abroad is looking most likely.

United will be in the market for a new forward this summer, following Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s ACL injury the side are left with only Marcus Rashford up front. Mourinho does not favour Anthony Martial and his future could well be in question this summer, as could the future of club captain Wayne Rooney.
