Ibrahimovic Hints That He’s Not Ready for Retirement Yet in the Most Zlatan Way Possible…

After a season-ending ACL knee injury, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s career in Manchester is over, as the club included him on their released players list yesterday.

The Swede landed awkwardly on his knee coming down from a header in United Europa League Quarter-Final tie against Anderlecht back in April, ruling him out until for the remainder of the season and beyond.

And despite finishing as United’s top scorer last season with an impressive 28 goals in all competitions, Jose Mourinho has decided not offer the 35-year-old a new deal.

Reports have circulated that he could retire, with the severity of his injury alongside his age playing a major factor.

However, his latest Instagram post suggests the former Barcelona man is far from finished.

It features Zlatan pulling back his duvet covers to reveal a pair of Nike boots, with the most confusing part being a spaghetti western theme tune in the background.
A number of clubs have reacted to the news he hasn’t been offered a new contract by putting themselves forward to welcome Zlatan in, including Hertha Berlin and French side Chamois Niortais.

A move to another side in Europe seems the most likely option, with his agent Mino Raiola confirming that the centre-forward doesn’t see himself playing football anywhere else.

“Many clubs have asked for Zlatan,” he said.

“He can play two more years and will stay in Europe, 100%.”
