Former Manchester United Player Predicts Who Will Finish in Top Four & Who Will Miss Out

Former Manchester United player Phil Neville has predicted that his former side are going to miss out on the Champions League spots in the Premier League table, along with Arsenal.

The two sides met at the Emirates on Sunday with the Gunners coming out on top after a 2-0 win, but Neville believes that the result will make no difference in the race for the top four.

The former England international turned pundit, who went on to play for Everton after his United days, told Match of the Day 3: “I think the top four is done and dusted.”

Liverpool were held 0-0 at home to Southampton, with James Milner missing a chance to win the game from the penalty spot. Regarding Liverpool’s reaction to the draw, Neville said: “Maybe the celebrations after the game for a point, they maybe thought that was a point gained.
“I think apart from Chelsea, I think the next three or four teams in the league are where they are going to finish.”

Arsenal still have four left to play with games against Southampton, Stoke, Sunderland and Everton still to come – winning all four will be no easy task but will be necessary to be in with a shout.
With Manchester United seemingly prioritising the Europa League in order to gain Champions League qualification for next season, it’s unlikely we’ll see full-strength lineups in their final games against Spurs, Southampton and Crystal Palace.

Manchester City are still to face Leicester, West Brom and Watford, while Liverpool have to play West Ham and Middlesborough. Spurs are already guaranteed a top four finish.
